Summary of the HFMC History

The Main Points:

  8. Marian gains control of the Hawarden Medical Clinic and spends two years trying to find physicians.
  9. Dr. Harvey, after a 9 month hiatus to Ireton, returns to open Hawarden Family Medical Center, the only independent, patient-first medical clinic north of Sioux City.
  10. Marian and the Hospital require over $200,000 per year to maintain a clinic that was profitable before Marian took it over.
  11. The people of Hawarden have a choice in the type of medical care, as well as the provider they want.
